What do members say about IBAW programing?

“I almost always come away from an IBAW meeting with useable material that helps me with my business. Many times, a speaker will give me something that applies to ITU AbsorbTech. Other times, it is a conversation over breakfast that gives me value. Because of the intimate setting, it is easy to engage the speakers after the presentations. I have a number of contacts I use often that began at IBAW.”

- Jim Leef, ITU AbsorbTech

IBAW's mission is to provide insightful programming to its members. We do this by selecting knowledgeable speakers with business experience.

The video to the right is a short selection from our discussion on exporting where we brought in Mr. Tom Bentley, CEO of Bentley World Packaging, Mr. Joe Jurken, Partner of the ABC Group and Mr. Damian Felton for the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Get Inspired at the IBAW Sales Roundtable

"The ninety minutes we spend together is very valuable. It is a confidential environment where fellow business professionals discuss ideas and insights into effective sales and business-building techniques. I would encourage anyone who is in sales to participate in this program."

    - Scott Seroka, Seroka Branding

For many years I ran sales meetings for as few as 3 and as many as 22 sales rep’s – now I can go as a participant once a month to IBAW’s Sales Roundtable.

At first I thought, "Well, I’ll try it and if it’s not worth my time, I just won’t go any more." I’ve been attending faithfully for almost 2 years now. I’m open to learn from the youngster as well as the gray hairs like myself! The 90 minutes goes quickly. It’s a focused meeting and everyone wants the same thing – to be more effective at selling.

Future Technology in the Workplace and Beyond

    Scott VanderSanden,

    President, ATT Wisconsin

Technology is racing forward at breakneck speed and this creates opportunity for business to increase productivity, efficiencies and sales.

What’s on the horizon for technology in the office and manufacturing setting?

How can it be leveraged to its fullest advantage?

    Find out at this event!

    About Our Presenter:

A 22-year veteran of AT&T, Scott T. VanderSanden was appointed to the Wisconsin president’s position in November 2006.

As state president, he worked closely with the Wisconsin State Legislature on Act 42, the Video Competition bill, which accelerated AT&T’s successful entry into the Wisconsin video market.  AT&T’s innovative U-verse product – which offers consumers a true triple play of voice, video and Internet – is now available in more than 140 community segments in four metropolitan areas in the state.  AT&T has   added hundreds of jobs in Wisconsin related to U-verse.

In 2011, VanderSanden led AT&T’s efforts to support the Telecommunications Modernization Act of 2011, the first major revision of the statutes regulating telecommunications since 1994.  With this legislation the Wisconsin Legislature further modernized the industry in an effort to adapt to the realities of today’s commerce.

Under VanderSanden’s leadership, AT&T continues to expand its wireless network within Wisconsin.  During the past few years, AT&T has added tens of dozens of new cell sites and expanded its 3G footprint in new cities across the state and is actively working to expand to 4G in the near future..

VanderSanden is a member of the board of directors for the Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce and is President of Competitive Wisconsin.  He also serves as a member of the UW-Eau Claire Chancellor’s Council, which provides strategic leadership counsel to Chancellor Brian Levin-Stankevich.  Finally, he is a member of the UW Madison School of Business – Dean’s Advisory Board.

VanderSanden, 47, holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

VanderSanden and Susan Serrault are raising three young adults – Erik, Dustin (“Dusty”) and Melissa – in Oregon, Wisconsin. He enjoys competitive athletics and has been active in many sports, including baseball, volleyball, golf, hockey and bicycle racing.
